Good Morning! On this day in 1927, Prohibition agents in Miami began destroying thousands of bottles of seized liquor valued at about $250,000 by burning some and dumping the rest into the Gulf Stream, prompting one newspaper to joke that local whales were headed for "a whale of a party." If you're hitting the road this week, you may want to ease off the gas. Florida is joining four neighboring states for Operation Southern Slow Down, a major crackdown on speeding and aggressive driving. We have the details in today's Et Cetera section. Even the best retirement plans can be undermined by avoidable mistakes. Later today, watch for a message from our partner, Fisher Investments, with a free guide covering 13 common retirement investing blunders and how to avoid them. Today's sponsor is Frontieras. Nvidia helped power the AI revolution, but AI's next challenge isn't computing—it's energy. As demand for electricity continues to surge, many investors are looking at the companies developing the infrastructure needed to fuel that growth. Frontieras believes it's building technology that could play a key role in meeting that demand, making it a company worth a closer look.

Five Deaths Tied to Unlicensed Homes
Prosecutors say elderly and disabled patients were tased and pepper-sprayed inside a network of unlicensed Central Florida assisted living homes, according to bond hearing testimony Thursday. Ronald Keith Pack, 60, and Marie Carenan, 56, allegedly ran eight unlicensed facilities in Osceola and Polk counties, seizing residents' benefits and medications while restricting them behind padlocked doors. Former staff testified residents were forbidden from calling 911, and investigators connected five deaths to the homes. The pair face multiple felony counts and have been denied bond. |
Ocala Storm Topples Trees, Cuts Power
A severe thunderstorm tore through Ocala Saturday afternoon, toppling trees onto homes and knocking out power to about 3,000 customers. Falling trees snapped multiple transmission poles, and about 600 customers were still dark by evening; some remained without power Sunday. One tree crushed the garage of Michelle Flanagan's home near NE 14th Street while her daughter and grandchildren were inside. "You can see daylight through there," she said. Officials reported no injuries. Crews spent Sunday replacing broken poles and restoring service to the remaining customers. |
World Cup Boom Sweeps South Florida
South Florida businesses are reporting record crowds as World Cup matches pack Miami Gardens, with fans filling restaurants and shops through quarterfinal week. FIFA estimates the seven matches at Hard Rock Stadium will pump $1.3 billion into the region, with up to 1 million visitors expected. "This is seven Super Bowls in five weeks," said host committee chair Rodney Barreto, noting the boost arrives in the summer off-season, unlike the region's winter Super Bowls. South Florida's tournament run ends July 18, when Hard Rock hosts the third-place match. |

The NVIDIA of Energy
NVIDIA’s valuation surged by 1,092% in just three years when it became the backbone of AI. But AI has a massive energy problem Nvidia can’t fix.
As AI data centers begin consuming more power than entire nations like Sweden or Argentina, Frontieras North America’s patented technology reforms coal into high-value commodities like hydrogen and diesel without burning it. It creates a technical carbon to replace coal that burns as clean as natural gas. Under a White House that favors energy production on our home soil, it could unlock up to $2.1 Trillion in energy potential.
The company fully subscribed its first Reg A+ round by $25M and reopened it due to increasing investor demand.
Here’s why you shouldn’t miss the chance to invest at $9.01/share:
“FASF” ticker reserved on the NASDAQ
Broke ground on new $850M flagship facility in West Virginia
$30 million raised from 12,000+ investors
As a perfect storm of breakthroughs set up the company for potential valuation impact, this is your opportunity to invest in Frontieras today.
