Trump Vows Revenge as Iran War Widens

President Trump vowed harsh retaliation against Iran after a ninth night of U.S. strikes, warning that each American soldier killed would be avenged "many times over."

At least 17 U.S. service members have died in the war, including two at a Jordanian air base struck by Iran. Trump passed the directive to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

Tehran escalated further, with the Revolutionary Guard claiming two oil tankers exploded in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran-backed Houthis declared a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia.

Qatar has floated a 10-day ceasefire to de-escalate. Trump will attend a dignified transfer of the fallen troops Tuesday.

New York School Hires a Robot Teacher

A rural western New York school district will become one of the first in the country to put a humanoid robot in the classroom this fall, starting in its high school AI and robotics classes on the Seneca Nation reservation.

The robot costs $57,590, is named Sally, and has silicone skin, long brown hair, facial expressions, and upper-body movements. The company that built her, Realbotix, also has a history of making lifelike dolls designed for intimacy. See a photo here.

Sally stays permanently seated and tutors students who log in with a unique code, letting her pick up where each left off. Officials said she isn't connected to the internet and has guardrails blocking off-limits topics.

Not everyone is sold. Some parents reportedly raised concerns about privacy, in a district where most students are economically disadvantaged.

Five Coffees a Day Linked to Health Benefits

Most adults can safely drink up to five cups of coffee a day, according to a new statement from the American Heart Association pegging the ceiling at 400 milligrams of caffeine.

Regularly sipping caffeinated coffee was linked to lower risk of Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, heart failure, and some irregular heart rhythms, doctors said.

There's a catch: the benefits shrink once you add sugar, flavors, or cream. Black is best.

Researchers cautioned that most caffeine studies are observational and can't prove cause and effect. They also warned that energy drinks, with far more caffeine per ounce, can trigger dangerous heart rhythms.
