Good Morning! On this day in 1995, Thomas Bopp of Arizona and Alan Hale of New Mexico each spotted what became known as Comet Hale-Bopp. Is the password you've been trusting for years already floating around in criminal databases? The Federal Trade Commission receives more than one million identity theft reports each year. Yet the strongest defense available isn't some pricey security service. It's a feature already built into your phone, one that most people have never turned on. In today's episode of The Flyover Podcast, Ayla walks through seven simple moves that can lock down your accounts before a hacker gets there first. So which of the seven have you already made, and which one is leaving you exposed? Tune in here! Seven investing lessons from high net worth investors could change the way you think about retirement. Later today, watch for a message from our partner, Fisher Investments, with a free guide sharing each one. Today's sponsor is Incogni, helping protect your privacy by removing your personal information from data broker databases before scammers can use it against you.

More Down-Ballot Races Called
Arizona's down-ballot primary races came into clearer focus Wednesday, with projected winners named in several statewide contests that will shape the November ballot. Among them, state Senate President Warren Petersen won the Republican attorney general nomination over Rodney Glassman and will face Democrat incumbent Kris Mayes. In the GOP primary for state school superintendent, state Treasurer Kimberly Yee held a lead over incumbent Tom Horne. The winner will face Democrat Teresa Leyba Ruiz. State Rep. Alexander Kolodin won the Republican secretary of state nomination and will challenge Democrat incumbent Adrian Fontes. |
Lamb Wins Primary for Biggs' Seat
Former Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb won the Republican primary to succeed U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs in the 5th Congressional District, with Biggs running for governor. The southeast Valley district leans heavily Republican, putting Lamb on a path to the seat in November. He will face Democrat Elizabeth Lee in the general election. Lamb echoes many of Biggs' priorities, campaigning on border enforcement and a "God, family, freedom" message that he casts as a fight over the country's cultural direction. He received endorsements from President Trump and former Maricopa County sheriff Joe Arpaio, among others. In unofficial results, Lamb was winning by a margin of 58% to 42% against Daniel Keenan, who spent more than $1.5 million on his campaign. "Thank you Arizona. I am truly humbled by your support. I will never let you down," Lamb posted early Wednesday. |
Marinas Chase Retreating Water
Marinas at Lake Powell are moving docks, pouring concrete, and extending ramps to keep pace with a water level that keeps dropping. The nation's second-largest reservoir, straddling the Arizona-Utah line near Page, has fallen nearly every year since about 2013, and it is nearing critically low levels. Boaters describe dried-up ramps and longer hauls to reach open water. Marina operators say returning families still come, but new visitors are staying away, a drag on Page's economy. At Bullfrog Bay, a marina is being relocated to deeper water alongside a new ramp and access project estimated at $73.4 million, while crews keep extending the Wahweap Stateline ramp. The National Park Service says it has secured funding for low-elevation ramps at Antelope Point, Bullfrog, and Hite, though the largest projects won't finish this season. |
