Good Morning! On this day in 1779, the U.S. ship Bonhomme Richard, commanded by John Paul Jones, looked defeated against two British ships, but when Jones was asked to surrender, he replied: "I have not yet begun to fight," and went on to win the battle.

Trump Tells UN He May 'Annihilate' Iran

President Trump told the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday that he is weighing whether to strike a deal with Iran or "annihilate" the Islamic Republic and predicted a deal would come only after November's midterms.

Also in his speech, Trump called Cuba a failed state and said it would fall, leading Cuba's delegation to walk out. Watch it here.

Trump also noted that the U.S. will start referring to artificial intelligence as "superintelligence" in official documents, and that his administration will encourage it rather than rein it in.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addresses the assembly on Wednesday, and Trump told the media he would "probably" be open to meeting him. Watch Trump's full address here.

September Nor'easter Aims at New England

A rare September nor'easter is expected to hit the East Coast this weekend, with Boston and Cape Cod in line for the worst of it. The latest track keeps the storm east of New York City.

Eastern Massachusetts could see several inches of rain and coastal gusts of 40 to 55 mph from Saturday into Tuesday, with flooding along northeast-facing shores.

Residents and travelers should expect flight disruptions between New York and Boston and coastal flooding from North Carolina to New Jersey as swells meet a full moon's high tides. Check your local forecast here.

On the other coast, California Gov. Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency to prepare for an El Niño winter forecasters say could be the strongest since 1950, with repeated heavy rain, mountain snow, flooding, and landslides expected.

Alaska's Fat Bear Week Voting Opens

Voting opened Tuesday in Fat Bear Week, the online tournament that crowns the brown bear at Alaska's Katmai National Park that fattened up the most before hibernation.

Sixteen bears made the bracket, up from 12, with matchups running through Sept. 29.

Defending champion Bear 32, better known as Chunk, is back after recovering from a broken jaw. Also in the field is 284 Electra, raising two spring cubs while facing one of her own offspring.

A strong sockeye run left the bears heavier than usual. Last year's vote drew more than 1.7 million ballots. Polls are open daily from noon to 9 p.m. ET. You can cast your vote here.
