Trump Warns Israel on Iran Strikes
President Trump told reporters Monday that he warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu he could soon be fighting alone against Iran, after the two countries exchanged fire for the first time since their April ceasefire. Iran fired nearly 30 ballistic missiles at Israel on Sunday night after an Israeli strike on a Hezbollah headquarters in Beirut. Israel struck back at an Iranian petrochemical plant and air defenses, giving Washington what Trump called "very late notice." Both sides halted attacks by Monday. Trump said the two countries are "very close" to a peace deal. |
Flesh-Eating Parasite Spreads in Texas
The USDA confirmed new cases of the flesh-eating screwworm parasite in Texas on Monday, with Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins calling it "just a little pest" that can be treated. Watch Rollins talk about the screwworm. However, about 100 ranchers packed a state briefing demanding faster federal action, as experts warned the outbreak could cost Texas $1.8 billion and tighten a national herd already at its lowest count in 75 years. Florida blocked livestock imports from infested zones, and Canada imposed its own restrictions on Texas cattle. Gov. Greg Abbott issued a disaster proclamation as the government pledged nearly $1 billion to fight the outbreak. |
Prada Designs NASA's Moon Suit
Italian fashion house Prada and Axiom Space unveiled the inner layer of the spacesuit NASA astronauts will wear when they walk on the moon for the first time in more than 50 years. The form-fitting undergarment circulates cold water through tubes to keep astronauts cool during eight-hour moonwalks at the lunar South Pole, with a full backup system if the primary loop fails. The design was revealed at a flagship Prada store in New York City. Watch the suit in action. NASA is targeting early 2028 for the Artemis IV mission. See who's on the shortlist to make the trip.
