Good Morning! On this day in 1895, a court ruled the Peralta-Reavis claim to 12.75 million acres across Arizona and New Mexico was fraudulent. Yale just tracked over 11,000 seniors for more than a decade, and what they found breaks every rule you've been told about getting older. Nearly half of them didn't decline. They got BETTER. Cognitively. Physically. And the researchers found the one hidden factor driving it... It's not genetics. Ayla breaks down what it is, and the four things you can start doing today to be in that improving half. Coming up on The Flyover Podcast. Tune in here! Your home address, phone number, and even family connections may be easier to find online than you think. Later today, watch for a message from our partner, Incogni, on how to take that information back. Today is the day. Over the past week, we've shared details about the Freedom Summit. If you've been meaning to sign up, this is your last chance before the event begins later today. Registration is FREE, and you can claim your spot here. Today’s sponsor, Sonic Glow Tooth Brush, uses powerful sonic vibrations and built-in blue light technology to help remove plaque, protect sensitive gums, and promote a cleaner, brighter, healthier smile in just seconds a day.

Divisions Lead to More Vetoes
Gov. Katie Hobbs vetoed 88 Republican-backed bills in a single day last week, blocking measures on election integrity, data centers, and more.
The first-term Democrat has vetoed 541 bills since taking office in 2023, drawing criticism from the Republican-led state legislature and praise from her political supporters.
Last week's veto blitz pushed Hobbs' 2026 veto tally to 151, short of the single-year record of 174 she issued last year, with roughly three dozen bills still awaiting action.
Unable to override Hobbs' vetoes, the GOP routed 10 measures around her desk and directly onto the November ballot for voters to decide.

Suns Draft Arizona Star
The Phoenix Suns traded up to the final pick of the NBA's first-round draft to select Koa Peat, keeping the Gilbert prep star and Arizona Wildcat standout in the Grand Canyon State. Peat won four straight state titles at Perry High School in Gilbert, and this year helped the Wildcats reach their first Final Four in 25 years as a freshman. "Excited to be a Sun man. Excited to stay home, man. Bear down. Let's go man," Peat posted on social media following his selection. The Suns viewed Peat as a high-priority target if they could trade into the late first round, seeking to add a player of his size and athleticism to their core. |
APS Eyes Public Safety Power Shutoffs
Arizona Public Service warned it may shut off power Saturday morning to about 10,000 northern Arizona customers as fire risks grow across the region. The controversial public safety shutoffs, an idea that originated in California, are meant to keep electrical equipment from sparking a wildfire during extreme conditions. In April, APS ordered a precautionary shutoff that impacted about 6,000 Northern Arizona customers, triggering pushback from some of those affected. This weekend's shutoffs could begin at 9 a.m. in east Flagstaff and parts of the Grand Canyon area, where dry terrain, low humidity, and high winds are forecast. |
