Article Icon 1Isaias Remnants To Soak Ohio Sunday

The remnants of Hurricane Isaias are expected to dump 1 to 3 inches of rain on parts of Ohio this weekend, raising the risk of localized flooding.

Isaias, the Atlantic season’s first hurricane, is forecast to make landfall along the Gulf Coast late Friday night or early Saturday, bringing storm surge, high winds, and flooding from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle.

Showers should reach the Ohio River by Saturday night ahead of waves of rain on Sunday, with southeastern Ohio currently in line for the heaviest totals.

Southwest Ohio could also see gusts up to 35 mph. It’s the Miami Valley’s first brush with hurricane remnants since Helene in 2024.

Article Icon 1New Laws Target Traffic Stops, Fraud

Ohio drivers and passengers must now give police their name, address, and date of birth when asked during traffic stops under one of about a dozen new laws that took effect this week.

Refusing is a fourth-degree misdemeanor punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a $250 fine, though no one is required to answer other questions.

Another law makes it a crime to stay within 15 feet of first responders after receiving a warning while interfering with their work, which sponsor State Rep. Thomas Hall, R-Butler County, said will “allow our first responders the space to do their jobs.”

Other measures crack down on SNAP skimming, Medicaid fraud, and catalytic converter thefts. In the classroom, public schools must now teach the “success sequence” of finishing high school, working full time, and marrying before having children.

Article Icon 1Buckeyes Host Badgers in Title Rematch

The No. 2 Ohio State women’s hockey team opens its home schedule this weekend against No. 1 Wisconsin, the team that beat the Buckeyes in last season’s title game.

The Buckeyes and Badgers have met in each of the last four national championship games, and currently sit just nine points apart in the USA Hockey College Hockey Poll.

Ohio State’s top line—seniors Joy Dunne and Jocelyn Amos, along with sophomore Hilda Svensson—all made an early watchlist for the Patty Kazmaier Award, women’s college hockey’s top individual honor.

This weekend’s games are set for 6 p.m. tonight and 3 p.m. Saturday at the OSU Ice Rink, where fans are encouraged to wear scarlet for Alumni Weekend.

The Investment Hiding Inside Every AI Chip

Everyone knows AI is powered by chips. Almost nobody knows those chips run on tungsten.

It's one of Earth's hardest-to-replace metals. Yet somehow, America produces almost none. United States Tungsten is changing that.

They’re redeveloping what was once America’s largest tungsten facility, the “Tungsten Queen” in North Carolina. It holds roughly 1M tons of minerals, worth $665M+ at today’s prices.

Right on time, too. America’s biggest AI rival, China, supplies 84% of global tungsten. It’s already tightened exports. There's no telling how long that door will stay open for American companies.

Now’s your chance to invest as United States Tungsten works to open a new door at home. Become a shareholder before midnight PT tonight to qualify for up to 23% in United States Tungsten bonus shares.

Unlocking America’s $665M ‘Tungsten Queen’

The U.S. is racing to rebuild a critical mineral supply chain. Tungsten is essential to the military, but China controls 84% of the global supply.

So the government is phasing out tungsten imports from adversaries and growing the domestic supply. That’s a serious opportunity in America, and United States Tungsten is taking advantage.

They’re reviving what was once America's largest tungsten facility, home to $665M+ worth of minerals at today’s prices.

The going rate’s already up by 500% in the past year. And this is a rare chance for you to invest in a proven asset.

But you only have until midnight PT to make the most of it. Invest in United States Tungsten before tonight’s deadline to qualify for up to 23% in bonus shares.
