As January comes to a close, it's the perfect time to reflect on the progress we've made and set our sights on the opportunities that February will bring. 
February is celebrated as Black History Month in Brampton, recognizing and honouring the significant contributions of Black Canadians to the city's cultural, social and historical landscape. Throughout the month, various events, activities and educational programs are organized to highlight the achievements of Black individuals and celebrate the rich diversity within the community. On February 7th, Brampton will honour Gloria Baylis, a Barbadian-Canadian whose fight against workplace racial discrimination shaped Canada's equity laws and opened doors for many.
