Canada will impose a 25% tariff on goods, including beverages, cosmetics, and paper products, beginning Feb. 4, with broader tariffs on the horizon. Mexico said it will retaliate also but didn't offer specifics. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke by phone Saturday, but it isn't clear whether the two nations will make a coordinated response.
