St. Johns River Keeps Rising
Runoff from Monday's rains is now moving north through the St. Johns River, pushing it over its banks from Cocoa to Astor.
Nearly 25 inches of rain fell in parts of Brevard County, and the slow-draining river is still carrying that water downstream. Forecasters have called for major flooding near Cocoa, where homes around Lake Poinsett and parts of Rockledge could take on water.
Seminole County is handing out sandbags in Sanford and Geneva as the river near Lake Harney approaches major flood stage. Gov. Ron DeSantis has added Seminole, Volusia, and Lake counties to a flood emergency order now covering 14 counties.
On the Treasure Coast, Stuart ranchers have moved cattle onto driveways, the last dry ground left. Trailside Homeowners Association President Kyla Shay said it could be months before the water drops.

Trump Visits Space Coast
President Trump headed to Kennedy Space Center Friday evening, his first Florida stop since Tuesday's midterm elections.
He was scheduled to address the invitation-only UP.Summit, a gathering of investors and transportation executives. It coincides with NASA's MAX POWER expo, which brings air shows and space exhibits to the center this weekend for America's 250th anniversary.
The trip came days after Trump signed a proclamation declaring outer space open to "exploration, development, use" by Americans who follow U.S. and international law. It also pointed to the Artemis III flight planned for next year.
Democrats made gains nationally Tuesday, while Florida Republicans largely held their ground. Trump rallied supporters in Fort Myers and Daytona Beach in the campaign's final two weeks
