The Dallas ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved a $6.2 billion bond proposal for the May 2 election. It's the largest school bond package in Texas history, surpassing Houston ISD's $4.4 billion proposal that local voters defeated in 2024.

The four-part proposal would provide funding for 26 new campuses to replace existing schools, add about 400 classrooms to eliminate portable units, provide handheld student devices, and renovate the district's swimming pools. If each component is approved, the average homeowner would pay an additional $33.48 a year.

Voters approved a $3.7 billion bond package for Dallas ISD in 2020, and officials suggested that upgraded learning environments have contributed to improved student performance. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the district's enrollment has fallen by about 14,000 students.

"We're asking people to sacrifice a cup of coffee once a month," said board member Lance Currie.

Andres Wilkinson, a 52-year-old U.S. Customs and Border Protection supervisor from Laredo, has been charged with harboring an illegal immigrant in his home for more than a year.

Authorities allege Wilkinson was in a romantic relationship with Elva Edith Garcia-Vallejo, who is reportedly his brother's daughter. Garcia-Vallejo and her daughter moved in with Wilkinson in August 2024 after she overstayed her visa.

Federal investigators surveilled Wilkinson's home from June to November last year. They observed Garcia-Vallejo driving vehicles registered to Wilkinson, and he also allegedly transported her through Border Patrol checkpoints.

Wilkinson was placed on administrative leave and released on a $75,000 bond last Thursday. He faces 10 years in prison and $250,000 in fines if he's convicted.

The Houston Texans are entering into a public-private partnership with Harris County and Howard Hughes Communities to develop an 83-acre sports and entertainment district in Bridgeland that will include a new team headquarters and training complex.

The county is expected to contribute up to $150 million in infrastructure improvements to the project, dubbed Toro District. The headquarters and proposed 325,000-square-foot training facility will occupy 22 acres, with the remaining area comprising a mix of retail, restaurants, hotels, and commercial space.

The development is expected to create 17,000 jobs and generate $34 billion in economic growth over 30 years. The Texans plan to break ground on their facility later this year.

"We're going to be able to create probably the best sports and entertainment district in terms of places to live, work, play, shop, dine, and experience that's ever been built," said Howard Hughes CEO David O'Reilly.

Tungsten Price Up 200%: Invest in America's Largest Mine Before Operations Begin

Tungsten prices surged 200% last year after China halted exports. That's because China currently controls 84% of the global tungsten supply, and it's one of the most important metals on earth.

Since the U.S. military relies on tungsten for everything from armor-piercing rounds to jet engines, they're racing to find a way of sourcing tungsten without relying on China.

This is a huge opportunity for United States Tungsten. They hold the lease to the "Tungsten Queen," once America's largest tungsten mine. It's a massive asset containing 1 million tons of minerals worth an estimated $450M.

And as the U.S. moves to ban mineral imports from China in 2027, it's expected to only get more valuable.

Plus, the White House just proposed raising the military budget to $1.5T next year. A bigger budget means more spending on the hardware that requires tungsten. As new laws require that money be spent on American-mined minerals first, United States Tungsten is positioned to become a supplier for one of the world's most reliable customers.

They're already in talks with the U.S. Government.

You can get a piece of this 1-million-ton mine right before they start digging.

It's the final day for up to 21% bonus shares….

Decades of combined experience working with finance leaders like Goldman Sachs is a business advantage. Add that to operating America's largest tungsten mine, and it's a massive opportunity. Now, United States Tungsten is sharing access to 1 million untapped tons of precious metals with investors.

The amount of tungsten-bearing minerals in the "Tungsten Queen" is estimated to be worth $450 million at today's prices. That's because the metal is in urgent need for military tanks, aircraft, missiles, and more.
