Alamo cannons and a Fiesta weekend deep-dive into the Texas Revolution. Calling all Central Texans - history is calling! At the historic Menger Hotel, April 17-19, the Texas State Historical Association will host its most exciting event: Texas Revolution Rendezvous. This Revolution-centered weekend kicks off with an 1836 dinner. This lantern-lit experience will deliver modern takes on the food staples Texans had aplenty, as renowned Texas historian, Dr. Stephen Hardin, delivers a captivating presentation on the Runaway Scrape. 
Saturday morning, attendees can choose one of three unique downtown tours including a riverboat adventure and two Alamo Plaza tours. Talks by noted historians begin at noon - a rare opportunity to learn about the history of the Alamo’s fabled cannons, how the buildings of the Alamo have changed over four centuries, and the Goliad Massacre. Each attendee will receive a custom Fiesta medal and free admission to some of San Antonio’s premier museums including the Alamo’s Ralston Collections Center, Briscoe Western Art Museum and The Witte.
