U.S. and Chinese officials will begin talks in Switzerland from May 9-12 to address the escalating trade war between the two nations. The U.S. has imposed up to 145% tariffs on Chinese goods, and China retaliated with 125% levies on some U.S. products. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer will meet with Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng in the first high-level meeting since Trump's January inauguration. China announced major economic stimulus measures Wednesday, including interest rate cuts and looser lending rules. | Trump Swaps Surgeon General Pick President Trump on Wednesday pulled his nomination of Dr. Janette Nesheiwat to be U.S. surgeon general and tapped Dr. Casey Means instead, citing her "impeccable credentials." Means, a physician and author, is set to work alongside Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on a national health agenda focused on reversing chronic diseases. Nesheiwat, who was nominated months ago, will shift to another role within the Department of Health and Human Services. Means co-wrote the bestselling book, Good Energy, in 2024 with her brother, Calley Means, a health advocate who helped connect Kennedy and Trump after last year's assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. For the first time since 2013, the main navigation menu will shift from the left side of the screen to the center, featuring prominent shortcuts for "Search" and "My List." Title cards will also highlight accolades like “#1 in TV Shows” or “Emmy Award Winner” to help users make quicker decisions.
