A 19‑year‑old woman, Leah Palmirotto, died after falling through the roof of an abandoned five-story hospital on Emory University's Briarcliff Campus while exploring the building, officials say.

The fenced-off property has been used as a filming location for Netflix's Stranger Things.

In 2022, it was announced that the building would be demolished to make way for a senior living community.

An Emory University spokesperson stated that the campus will increase security at the site.

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

A video shows a Fulton County Schools police officer using a taser on a student on a Langston Hughes High School bus after the student refused to get off.

The officer has been removed from active duty pending an investigation.

"This was an isolated situation, and we are actively investigating the matter in coordination with the appropriate authorities," Langston Hughes High School principal Darrell L. Stephens stated in a letter.

A file shows that the officer received his taser recertification in August.

The 18-year-old student has hired a civil rights attorney in response to the incident.

Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines announced that President Glen Hauenstein will retire on Feb. 28, 2026.

Joe Esposito, who has been with Delta for 35 years, will become Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.

Hauenstein will remain a strategic advisor for Delta through the end of 2026.

"Glen's vision and strategic mindset have been essential in transforming Delta into the leading global airline we are today," Delta CEO Ed Bastian said.

Hauenstein has been with Delta since 2005 and became the airline's president in 2016.
