| Dear Reader, Just over two years ago, I was sitting at my kitchen table with a yellow notepad, a half-empty cup of coffee, and the news on TV in the background.
I looked up, and it was just another shouting match. Another “breaking” story that broke nothing but trust. I remember saying out loud to myself, "Where do people like us go for real news anymore?" That was the spark. I'd spent my career in politics, business, and dealing with the media. I'd seen firsthand how the national conversation was being shaped — and warped — by a handful of loud voices on the coasts and by celebrity "journalists" more interested in pushing their agendas than reporting the actual news. The rest of America, what many refer to as "flyover country," had been forgotten. So, I decided to talk to a few friends, business associates, and a few folks who still believed facts mattered, and we launched a daily email publication — The Flyover.
We didn't have fancy investors. We had a small group of believers, hard workers, and a vision: Common Sense News for Common Sense Americans. We distributed our first news publication to 47 people. Just friends and family. That was April 15th, 2023. Today, The Flyover reaches over 3 million readers across the country every single day. For context, CNN reaches about 500,000 viewers in prime time. Fox News reaches about 3 million. We've launched 9 state editions — from Arizona to Tennessee to Virginia — plus our national edition and our Feel Good Flyover Friday publication.
We publish 61 unique editions each week and produce The Flyover Podcast seven days a week — hosted by real people committed to getting stories right and serving the needs of common sense news consumers. And we did it all while achieving profitability, which is something that almost no other media startup can say.
Our margins are strong (80% gross, 24% net). Our readership is growing faster than we can keep up with. And our brand is being built the right way — by earning trust, not chasing clicks. We’ve grown because of you.

When we launched our reader-ownership campaign in August, I didn’t know what to expect. What happened next stunned us.
In just over two months, more than 1,450 Flyover readers became owners — investing almost $2.5 million to help us grow. We are already halfway to our $5 million goal.
That kind of response doesn't happen in today's media world. But then again, we've never fit the mold. While other media outlets are downsizing, spinning, and selling out, The Flyover is doing the opposite:

Our development team is working on The Flyover App and Flyover Text Alerts, giving readers even more ways to get news that's fast, fair, and free of the nonsense that defines most legacy media today. It's humbling. It's exciting. And it's only the beginning. I often say The Flyover isn't just a media company — it's a movement. It's for everyone who's ever rolled their eyes at a morning "news" panel. For everyone who believes truth doesn't need a spin room. For everyone who knows the heart of this country doesn't live in a newsroom in New York or Los Angeles. It beats across all of America. We're proud of what we've built.
